Arts and music lessons really help develop students’ physical and mental health. Students with arts or music talent are usually gentle, generous, loving and caring for others. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that every student should have at least one music or art skill before they leave the school.
Even though arts and music lessons are not compulsory, all students are encouraged to register in their preferred classes which are run 3 hours per week throughout the year. The membership fee is $5/month per person for every arts or music class. Since the school may not be able to provide learning instruments for all students, students need to buy their own arts or music instrument for their own practice, especially at home.

The Arts and Music Contest (AMC) is held every year in early April in order to allow students to express their arts and music skills and talents they have built within one year; awards and prizes will be given to the winners during Khmer New Year Party. Moreover, outstanding teams or individuals will have the opportunity to join oversea art and music contest.
Students also receive a certificate for their successful arts or music class.
Khmer students from grade 4 and English students from elementary level are allowed to learn 3 basic computer skills (Ms Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) free of charge once they have completed 2 academic terms at the Westline School.
Students who claim to have learned these skills before coming to the school, they can be excused from computer classes, but they must submit their training certificate to their computer instructor or they need to sit for a computer test.
It is expected that students who have graduated from level 12 of IEP have also successfully finished Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail Using.
Students will receive a certificate for each course they have successfully completed.
Computer classes are arranged outside or within normal class hours.
One of our traditional mottoes is “Students Must Be Good Citizens of the World”. Community service is a vital part of our non-curricular activities, bringing the betterment to Cambodian’s society and the world.
Before students finish level 12 from their IEP program or grade 12 in Khmer program, students are required to write an Academic Achievement Report (AAR) through which students choose a development topic, visit many relevant places and write a report stating their findings and recommendations. The AAR is done in English with support from an advisor; and the students will need to present their report in English to AAR graduation committee (AAR-GC).
Through community service students will be also working with different local and international organizations, associations, governmental institutions on development issues.
